Previously, all orders were measured and cut by hand by the seamstress herself. This procedure has been replaced by a combination of drawing tools, computerisation and an advanced cutter system. From Sales Drawing to Finished Order Today, when an order is prepared for production it mostly happens with a 3D drawing of the FabricAir® Duct system. 3D drawings are made in AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop and will almost always be the drawing that the order from the customer is based on.
From Sales Drawing to Finished Order
Today, when an order is prepared for production it mostly happens with a 3D drawing of the FabricAir® Duct system. 3D drawings are made in AutoCAD and Mechanical Desktop and will almost always be the drawing that the order from the customer is based on.
The drawing is electronically divided into pieces that can be transferred to the cutter. All the pieces are named, which is an important part of our quality system ISO 9001. When the order reaches the sewing room it is stitched by a well educated staff group. In the sewing room an investment in new technology has made some of the operations both easier and better.
Stitching of technical fabrics demands great accuracy. The fabric ducts are often very long and with large diameters and it requires great accuracy to make sure that all the pieces are stitched together correctly. When the order is finished and is sent to the customer the wheel has come full circle. In our computer system we can see exactly which roll of fabric has been used for the order in question, which drawings have been used, and also which changes have been made during the manufacure processes.
