Before Starting the Installation
* Unpack all the components and place
them on a clean surface (mat/sheet).
Check to make sure that you have recieved
all the components specified on the enclosed
parts list. If components are missing,
contact FabricAir, Inc. immediately.
* In order to keep the FabricAir ducts clean,
handle the ducts with clean hands. Make
sure that any tools which might come in
contact with the ducts have been cleaned
before use.
* Make sure that the necessary tools are
available - see the instructions.
* Provide hardware for anchoring - see items
1 & 3 under installation sequence.
* If the ducts are to be installed in a new
building, purge the handling systems and
install the prefilter before installing the
FabricAir ducts. This is done to remove
dust, which would otherwise collect in
the FabricAir duct.

Installation Sequence
1. IPS T-rail (19) is installed, with the
rail forming a frame - meaning the rail
mounting lines spread identical to the
diameter of the duct with rail on the ends.
The rail is cut as mitre joints. The rail
is anchored directly to the overhead. Screws
are not included in the delivery, as the
type of screw depends on the building
structure. The rail has flanges for
anchoring with screws.
2. Once the rail has been installed, install
the FabricAir ducts can be installed. If the
duct is shorter than 30', it will normally be
delivered in one section. If the duct exceeds
30' it will normally be divided in sections
with zippers.
Press the bulb edge of the duct into the
T-rail. If the duct is divided in sections
- begin with the first section.
3. Once all sections have been installed in the
rail, zip the sections together. Fasten the duct
with the hem connection onto the AHU collar
with the mounting belt (17/18), and install
the locking track (20).
Follow the above procedure for installing
FabricAir Plenum ducts. Zip the FabricAir ducts
to the FabricAir Plenum duct.
