Supermarkets are often divided into subsections with unique requirements for the air distribution system, thus varying set values for temperature. FabricAir solutions effectively address these requirements incl. eliminating condensation and drafts.
Background
The various sections of a supermarket place different requirements on the air dispersion system. Especially in the fruit and vegetable section the temperature has a direct effect on the shelf life of the goods, while in the isles the air dispersion solution affects occupant comfort.
Common challenges include:
- High room temperatures because of new energy-efficient cooling equipment with closed lids
- Personnel, especially in the checkout line, experience unhealthy drafts from the entrance
- Low ceilings and high shelves prevent air flow resulting in ‘stuffy air’
Solution
We combine an aesthetic design with silent, condensation-free, hygienic air dispersion.
A custom solution consisting of a combination of SonicFlow™ and MicroFlow™ ensures a healthy, pleasant air flow in all sections based on the section’s unique characteristics.
We combine thermal displacement, using subcooled air at low impulse, and air mixing to ensure an even air flow regardless of ceiling height and air flow between all shelves regardless of height. This creates a gentle stirring of the air in the store without causing drafts.
The most common solution is Combi 80 D ducts and Type 11 suspension.
Results
FabricAir dispersion solutions are the best possible combination of an attractive price and high quality. We provide hygienic, condensation-free air dispersion with an even, draft-free air flow for ideal conditions in all sections of the supermarket.
