In a region where high temperatures severely impacted working conditions and the proper storage of products, MACOSA needed an efficient, sustainable solution to maintain a constant temperature of 24\u00b0C (75\u00b0F) in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fabricair.com\/applications\/production-manufacturing-automotive\/\">industrial<\/a> space.<\/p>\n<p>The primary challenge was to create a controlled environment capable of evenly distributing cool air while optimizing energy resources. Traditional cooling systems were not sufficient to handle the extreme heat, and uneven airflow further compromised product quality and employee comfort. Recognizing these issues, MACOSA\u2019s contractor, <strong>ATA Refrigeraciones<\/strong>, worked with FabricAir to custom engineer and install a fabric duct air dispersion system for the environment.<\/p>\n<p>The solution involved installing a custom fabric duct system with the following key features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Installation Height:<\/strong> The ducts were mounted at 5 meters (approximately 16.4 feet) to suit the warehouse\u2019s spatial requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fabric:<\/strong> The system uses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fabricair.com\/us\/products\/fabric-air-ducts\/fabrics\/combi-60\/\">Combi 60 fabric<\/a>, for its durability and resistance. This fire-retardant, permeable fabric is Oeko-Tex 100 certified, machine washable, and maintains its dimensions after washing with a maximum shrinkage of 0.5%. It is also certified for cleanrooms and controlled environments (ISO 14644-1 Class 3).<\/li>\n<li>Flow Models: The design <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fabricair.com\/us\/products\/fabric-air-ducts\/flow-models\/combining-flow-models\/\">combines multiple airflow models<\/a> to create the ideal conditions:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>OriFlow <\/strong>provides directional airflow at medium to high speeds, ensuring robust air mixing in large spaces.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SonicFlow<\/strong> maintains discharge velocity for even distribution at various heights.<\/li>\n<li><strong>FabFlow<\/strong> acts as a secondary flow to complement mixing and stability, contributing to a consistently controlled temperature.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Suspension System: The ducts are supported by a Type 8 (All-in-One) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fabricair.com\/us\/products\/fabric-air-ducts\/suspension\/type-8\/\">suspension system<\/a>, which offers secure, durable support and enables fast, efficient installation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The implementation of this system has yielded impressive results. The warehouse now consistently maintains the desired temperature of 24\u00b0C (75\u00b0F), even during the hottest summer months. Enhanced energy efficiency, achieved through the precise control of airflow, has led to reduced operating costs, while the streamlined installation and lower labor requirements have resulted in significant cost savings. Additionally, the improved climate control has created a more comfortable work environment, contributing to overall operational efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>FabricAir\u2019s advanced textile duct systems can effectively overcome extreme climate challenges in industrial settings.
