Perfect air distribution for stale air environments

Huge facilities with hundreds of servers generate a lot of heat and carbon dioxide, therefore perfect air distribution must be top-notch. Fabric-based air distribution solutions can help your systems work smoothly and efficiently.

We have the experience and the know how to guide you through your project

Even air distribution

Distributes air evenly throughout vast open and even low-ceiling spaces

Long lifespan

Proven durability for decades to come

High Indoor Air Quality

Creates a perfect and draft-free environment

Telecom Facility, Canada

“Generally, temperatures have fallen slightly in what used to be hottest parts of the aisle and risen slightly in what used to be coldest parts of the aisle, consistent with the nearly perfectly even air distribution the FabricAir ducts provide. A modest overall temperature reduction was realized, with a before average temperature of 25.2°C [77.4°F], and an after average temperature of 24.8°C [76.6°F]. Removal of the flex duct hoses has made movement up on the grid MUCH easier, and eliminated the risk of the hoses being damaged or moved.”

VarioDuct

The FabricAir® VarioDuct™ provides different flow models for cooling and/or heating purposes. It is tailored with an internal membrane that separates the two airflows.

Ceiling Diffusers

FabricAir® Ceiling Diffusers are fully insulated, they prevent energy loss, eliminate any risk of condensation and are therefore suitable for isothermal or cooling conditions, and can be deployed for supply and extract air.

FAQ

Servers and other IT equipment generate concentrated heat loads that can vary significantly between racks and aisles. Air distribution therefore needs to deliver cooling where it is required while reducing local hot spots and unnecessary airflow in lower-load areas.

Every elbow, branch, damper, grille, and other restriction contributes to pressure loss. A custom-engineered fabric duct system can distribute air directly along the duct and may require fewer separate terminal components, helping reduce system resistance and fan-power requirements.

The required airflow pattern is engineered into the fabric duct through flow models, perforations, nozzles, or permeable areas. This can reduce the number of separate diffusers, grilles, and balancing dampers required. Final commissioning is still important to verify system performance.

Yes. Selected fabrics are available with an antistatic option that helps dissipate electrical charge in environments where electrostatic discharge is a concern. The fabric should be specified together with grounding, humidity control, and the facility’s overall ESD strategy.
