A hygienic solution for food processing facilities

In the food processing industry, maintaining the highest product quality is paramount. Therefore, it is essential to have a high-quality, fabric-based air distribution system that guarantees hygienic operation, eliminates drafts and improves the well-being and comfort of employees.

We have the experience and the know how to guide you through your project

Even air distribution

Distributes air evenly throughout all food processing line rooms

Hygienic operation

Antimicrobial fabrics eliminate health risks, and ducts are easily washable.

Easy installation

As simple as it can get; no heavy machinery is needed.

Long lifespan

Proven durability for decades to come.

Corrosion-resistant

Fabric does not rust, thus eliminating the risk of corrosion.

High Indoor Air Quality

Creates a perfect and draft-free environment for all employees.

Keskinoglu Poultry Processing Plant, Turkey

“When we first contacted FabricAir and communicated our needs, they were most helpful and offered the best solutions for our production plant.

We started using FabricAir dispersion systems in our plants five years ago. Ever since, we have managed to reach the desired cooling quality and witnessed a significant decrease in health problems and resulting paid leave.”

FAQ

Operators near production machinery were exposed to high temperatures, poor airflow, and heat from nearby processes. FabricAir designed a customized fabric ducting system for targeted spot cooling, delivering conditioned air directly to operator work zones within the existing production area.

The Sanand project was completed within three days while production remained active. Stainless steel suspension components were used to meet the requirements of the food production environment, while the lightweight fabric duct system simplified installation within the existing facility. This is a project-specific result.

Persistent moisture can make hygiene control more difficult and create conditions that support microbial growth. Permeable fabric helps keep the duct surface dry by allowing a small amount of supply air through the textile. Temperature and humidity still need to be controlled as part of the complete HVAC design.

Fabric duct sections can be removed and laundered according to the facility’s sanitation procedures. This allows cleaning to become part of a planned hygiene program and can simplify access compared with cleaning fixed internal duct surfaces.

The air distribution system should support the facility’s own food-safety and hygiene requirements, including cleanability, temperature control, humidity, and contamination prevention. HACCP principles and relevant standards should be assessed for the individual process rather than assuming a particular fabric automatically guarantees compliance.

Processing, packing, storage, and chilled areas can require different temperatures and airflow patterns. A custom-engineered fabric duct system can use different flow models and outlet arrangements to provide the required air distribution in each zone.
