Unrivaled air distribution for large facilities

Storage and logistics facilities have many employees doing their daily tasks. In order to ensure ideal working conditions, air distribution systems must consistently function at peak performance.

We have the experience and the know how to guide you through your project

Even air distribution

Distributes air evenly throughout the premises

Easy installation

No heavy machinery is needed and ducts reinstall quickly after washing

Long lifespan

Proven durability for decades to come

Impact resistant

Ducts are flexible and can maintain their shape even after accidental bumps

Guschlbauer, Germany

“We are very satisfied with the implementation of the air conditioning solution using textile channels.
In the summer, we need an absolutely draft-free and even air distribution or cooling system to ensure the
quality of our products. The employees who work for five days in 3-shift operation were thus able to achieve an optimal working environment.”

Michael Auinger, Production Manager at Guschlbauer

VarioDuct

The FabricAir® VarioDuct™ provides different flow models for cooling and/or heating purposes. It is tailored with an internal membrane that separates the two airflows.

DeFrost

FabricAir® Defrost Duct™ increases the efficiency of cold storage air coolers. When the evaporator reaches its defrost cycle, the duct collapses, thus effectively sealing the outlet.

FAQ

At the Bhiwandi warehouse near Mumbai, the challenge was to distribute conditioned air across a 110 × 100 m facility with a clear height of 25 m and several rack levels. The project used Combi 60 fabric together with FabFlow and SonicFlow to deliver even, well-controlled airflow throughout the warehouse.

Computational Fluid Dynamics can be used to model airflow patterns, velocities, and temperature distribution before installation. At Bhiwandi, CFD analysis helped refine duct dimensions, airflow rates, and outlet configurations before commissioning.

Fabric ducting is lightweight and flexible, which makes it easier to route long duct runs around existing structural constraints. At Bhiwandi, multiple runs of up to 100 m were installed between existing support rafters while working within limited available space.

The project reported uniform air distribution, improved cooling efficiency, and energy savings during operation. The installation was completed within 15 days, allowing the facility to become fully operational without further delay. These results are specific to the Bhiwandi project.

FabricAir Defrost Duct collapses over the air cooler outlet during the defrost cycle, helping prevent heat from escaping into the cold room. This improves defrost efficiency and can reduce defrosting time by 10–50%. FabricAir states energy savings of up to 75%, depending on equipment and operating conditions.
