Unrivaled air distribution for large facilities

Storage and logistics facilities have many employees doing their daily tasks. In order to ensure ideal working conditions, air distribution systems must consistently function at peak performance.

We have the experience and the know how to guide you through your project

Even air distribution

Distributes air evenly throughout the premises

Easy installation

No heavy machinery is needed and ducts reinstall quickly after washing

Long lifespan

Proven durability for decades to come

Impact resistant

Ducts are flexible and can maintain their shape even after accidental bumps

Guschlbauer, Germany

“We are very satisfied with the implementation of the air conditioning solution using textile channels.
In the summer, we need an absolutely draft-free and even air distribution or cooling system to ensure the
quality of our products. The employees who work for five days in 3-shift operation were thus able to achieve an optimal working environment.”

Michael Auinger, Production Manager at Guschlbauer

VarioDuct

The FabricAir® VarioDuct™ provides different flow models for cooling and/or heating purposes. It is tailored with an internal membrane that separates the two airflows.

DeFrost

FabricAir® Defrost Duct™ increases the efficiency of cold storage air coolers. When the evaporator reaches its defrost cycle, the duct collapses, thus effectively sealing the outlet.

FAQ

These terms generally describe the same type of textile-based air distribution technology. In Canada and North America, terms such as air socks and duct socks are commonly used alongside fabric ducts and fabric ducting.

Related terms: air socks, duct socks, fabric ductwork, fabric ducts, air dispersion, Fabric Air Duct System, fabric duct FAQs

Fabric duct systems can be packed into relatively compact boxes, reducing the transport and on-site storage space required compared with large rigid metal duct sections. This can simplify logistics on warehouse and distribution-center projects where construction space is limited.

Related terms: duct delivery, on-site storage, shipping cost, lightweight ductwork, warehouse construction, fabric duct system

Fabric duct sections can be detached, laundered and reinstalled according to the maintenance requirements of the facility. Where continuous operation is important, maintenance can be planned by section rather than assuming the entire ventilation system must always be shut down.

Related terms: duct maintenance, machine washable, planned maintenance, distribution center, laundering and maintenance, lightweight ducting

The appropriate airflow pattern depends on ceiling height, rack layout, heat loads and occupied zones. Directional airflow can be used where air needs to travel toward defined areas, while surface airflow can provide lower-velocity distribution closer to the duct. Different approaches can also be combined within one system.

Related terms: warehouse airflow, directional airflow, surface flow, air throw, custom engineered, FabricAir Dispersion System, airflow design

FabricAir DefrostDuct can improve the efficiency of air-cooler defrost cycles. During defrost, the duct collapses to help contain heat around the cooler. FabricAir reports reductions in defrost time of 10–50% and energy savings of up to 75%, depending on the equipment and operating conditions.

Related terms: cold storage, defrost cycle, frost buildup, air cooler, energy savings, DefrostDuct, refrigerated storage
