Ceiling Diffusers

FabricAir® Ceiling Diffusers are fully insulated, they prevent energy loss, eliminate any risk of condensation and are therefore suitable for isothermal or cooling conditions, and can be deployed for supply and extract air.

FAQ

Canyon Escalade selected FabricAir based on safety, comfort, aesthetics and air-distribution performance. A permeable fabric was used to reduce condensation risk on the ducts, which was particularly important because any dripping above the climbing wall could create a safety concern.

Warm air accumulated near the top of the tall climbing walls because of thermal stratification. OriFlow was used to distribute cool air along the height of the wall so that conditions were more consistent from the lower climbing areas to the top. The system delivers a total airflow of 14,000 CFM.

A FabricAir Dispersion System consists of four main components: profile, fabric, flow model and suspension. These are combined according to the room geometry, airflow requirements, humidity, appearance and installation conditions of the individual sports facility.

Fabric duct sections can be removed and machine washed where required. Selected fabrics are also available with antimicrobial properties that help inhibit microbial growth on the textile surface. These properties complement routine cleaning and ventilation but do not replace them.
