JUMEX, a leading name in Mexico’s juice and beverage industry, recently tackled a pressing challenge at its Monterrey, Nuevo León plant. High heat and humidity were undermining production efficiency and employee comfort, while condensation in the ductwork threatened product quality and food safety. Determined to find a reliable way to stabilize the environment, JUMEX turned to FabricAir for an innovative HVAC solution.

The custom engineered solution included selecting materials and a configuration designed for the plant’s specific needs. FabricAir’s Combi 80 fabric played a key role with a permeable weave that prevents moisture buildup on duct surfaces, eliminating the condensation that previously posed risks to both workers and production lines. Combi 80 is Oeko-Tex 100 certified and features fire-resistant, bactericidal properties, aligning with the stringent standards of a food processing environment.

Beyond addressing condensation issues, the installation needed to be fast. The Type 8 suspension system with All-in-One shape retention ensured a straightforward and efficient assembly process. The simple installation minimized downtime and offered flexibility for future adjustments. With this setup, the plant’s indoor air quality could be brought under control quickly, optimizing both working conditions and operational consistency.

Today, JUMEX’s Monterrey plant maintains a stable temperature of around 23°C / 74°F, improving staff comfort and supporting consistent product quality. The absence of condensation on the duct enhances cleanliness and safety, while the warrantied, long-lasting materials reduce maintenance issues and provide long-term value. The plant has gained a reliable and efficient climate control setup without compromising on food safety or production standards.

This project exemplifies how well-engineered HVAC solutions can address the complex challenges faced by industrial food facilities. By partnering with FabricAir, JUMEX has created a safer, more efficient environment—underscoring their commitment to excellence and offering a blueprint for other facilities worldwide looking to overcome similar obstacles.
