NovaMed Gmbh, Turkey

“Since the day we started using the FabricAir system, we have had no problems complying with the Class 100,000 Cleanroom standard.

It is a sign that we have made a right decision. When we examined FabricAir’s products, we deduced that it would be the most effective solution for us.

Also, easy washing and cleaning is an excellent feature for companies that have to produce in a sterile environment like ours. We have new investments and projects on the agenda and we plan to use FabricAir dispersion solutions for these.”

Ceiling Diffusers

FabricAir® Ceiling Diffusers are fully insulated, they prevent energy loss, eliminate any risk of condensation and are therefore suitable for isothermal or cooling conditions, and can be deployed for supply and extract air.

FAQ

Fume hoods require carefully controlled room airflow because strong cross-draughts or turbulence can interfere with containment. Fabric ducts can distribute a large volume of supply air over a broad area at controlled velocities, helping reduce concentrated jets near sensitive work zones.

Related terms: fume hood ventilation, laboratory airflow, non-turbulent supply air, uniform air velocity, flow models

Material requirements vary by cleanroom classification and process. Depending on the application, designers may need to consider permeability, cleanability, flame performance, antimicrobial properties or antistatic behaviour.

Related terms: cleanroom fabric, antimicrobial fabric, antistatic fabric, controlled environments, fabric properties

Permeable fabric allows a small amount of air to pass through the textile surface. Non-permeable fabric directs the air only through engineered outlets such as perforations or nozzles. The choice depends on the required airflow pattern, velocity, throw and environmental conditions.

Related terms: permeable fabric, non-permeable fabric, engineered perforations, directional airflow, flow models, surface flow

Fabric sections can be removed and laundered according to the selected fabric and the site’s hygiene procedures. Cleaning frequency should be determined by the contamination risk and operating requirements of the facility rather than by one standard interval for every laboratory.

Related terms: machine washable ducting, cleanroom hygiene, pharmaceutical HVAC, laundering schedule, washable fabrics

FabricAir offers several profile options for restricted spaces. D-shaped and other low-profile configurations can be used where a full round duct would conflict with services or available headroom.
