Sustainability and Comfort: Fabric Duct Systems in a Traditional German Bakery
A large bakery in Weserbergland, Germany has been preparing fresh baked goods using traditional methods and time-tested family recipes since 1881. Each day, the bakery supplies its customers with regional baked goods with nearly 30 locations throughout Weserbergland. The company needed to replace their old air distribution system and selected FabricAir’s textile air distribution systems.
Problems with old, inefficient air ducts
After many years, the bakery concluded that the old air vents did not deliver the desired results. Therefore, the company turned to FabricAir – as the world’s leading provider of textile air distribution solutions – to improve air quality and increase energy efficiency in the facility.
FabricAir custom designed an effective solution for the food manufacturer to meet all requirements. Six textile air ducts with innovative surface airflow technology are now installed. The ducts are tailored to the requirements of the bakery and ensure a pleasant and draft-free distribution of supply air. The implementation of textile air distribution allows the bakery to create an optimal environment for the production of baked goods.
Significant energy savings with new fabric duct
“In addition to improving air quality and comfort, the use of our textile air duct system also leads to significant energy savings,” says Heike Kues, Sales Engineer for FabricAir. “By using state-of-the-art technologies and materials, our customer can now save up to 80% in energy costs. This is not only economically advantageous but an important contribution to sustainability and reducing their ecological footprint,” adds Kues. FabricAir’s textile air ducts were seamlessly integrated into the existing system to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
