Feddet Strand Resort, Denmark
Background
In 2010, Feddet Strand Resort selected a FabricAir dispersion system for their pool area. They wanted to create a comfortable environment for their guests as well as ensure the overall health of their building in the highly corrosive environment.
Using fabric ducting was the best option, as it allowed Feddet Strand Resort to create an aesthetically pleasing lightweight solution that played into the light and airy design of the building itself.

SonicFlow™ and FabFlow™
The technology enabled a custom airflow, which minimized evaporation, while ensuring a healthy IAQ above the pool surface and on the ground level. In 2020 FabricAir revisited the installation for a 10-year review of all components.
Solution
Tailored in condensation-free, non-corrosive Combi 85 fabric, the solution utilizes SonicFlow™ as the primary airflow, in combination with FabFlow™ as secondary airflow. The latter prevents condensation from forming on and inside the duct and stops dust and other particles from settling on the surface, thus creating a healthy and hygienic duct run with no bacteria growth.
The primary airflow, SonicFlow™, ensures a high air change at low velocity, thus creating a comfortable draft-free environment, with a low velocity across the pool surface. The system is suspended using Type 1, with All-in-One shape retention support that ensures a great looking duct profile with and without airflow. The stainless steel hardware ensures against stress corrosion cracking.
Results
10 years after the original installation, we revisited the application to review its performance after a decade in the highly corrosive pool environment. The review included assessing fabrics, zippers, straps, and suspension parts, in addition to reviewing the general experience of the airflow and comfort. We found that a decade in the highly corrosive environment had not affected the fabric, neither had the UV exposure.
Straps, zippers, and hooks are also unaffected. All suspension components, incl. cables, turnbuckles, drops, u clamps, etc., were tested and showed no signs of stress. This review proves that FabricAir dispersion solutions are ideal in highly corrosive environments, such as pool areas and water parks, when we apply stainless steel components:
