The FabricAir® VarioDuct™ provides different flow models for cooling and/or heating purposes. It is tailored with an internal membrane that separates the two airflows.
Large event venues can experience major changes in occupancy, internal heat loads, and room configuration. Their HVAC systems must therefore distribute large air volumes effectively while maintaining suitable conditions in the occupied zone, even when event layouts and visitor numbers change.

According to the MalmöMässan project team, installation with fabric ducts took approximately half the time they had expected for conventional metal ductwork. The result is project-specific, but it demonstrates how lightweight components and pre-engineered air distribution can simplify installation in large venues.

Air must travel a considerable distance from the duct to the occupied zone in buildings with high ceilings. Flow model, air velocity, throw, duct placement, and heating or cooling mode therefore need to be considered together.

Conference and exhibition venues regularly move stands, lighting, displays, and other equipment. Flexible fabric ducts are less susceptible to permanent denting from minor accidental contact than rigid metal surfaces, although the system should still be positioned to limit repeated physical impact.
