A Healthy and comfortable indoor environment through clever air engineering
When the swimming pool at the holiday park, Blauwe Meer in Lommel, Belgium, underwent renovation, FabricAir was tasked with delivering a draft-free solution based on our corrosion-free technology, thus ensuring a healthy hygeinic comfort.

Background
The new ventilation solution involed a heat recovery system and the purpose of the project was to supply fresh air evenly across the room for maximum comfort.
During the design phase, FabricAir took into account all the influencing factors associated with air dispersion in a pool area incl. the highly corrosive conditions created by the humidty and chlorine vapors.
It is due to these harsh conditions that a fabric-based air dispersion solution if preferential in pool applications and the fibers do not corrode.
In consultation with the installer, Snoeks, it was decided to disperse the air along the full circumference of the pool and to do the extraction only at one point. This considerably simplified the system and entailed considerable cost savings.
Solution
As part of the air engineering design by FabricAir, the airflow was used to sweep the surfaces of the glass walls and roof to prevent condensation, thus minimizing issues with mold and rot.
The system is tailored in permeable Combi 80 fabric, with a unique anti-microbial treatment that prevents mold and bacteria growth inside and on the ductwork, thus making it ideally suited for swimming pools.
Combi 80 is flame retardant, certified to EN 13501-1 (B-s1, d0). This permeable fabric comes with a 10-year warranty.
The orange color was chosen by the construction client. It gives the pool a cheerful color and makes is noticeable to the public that their comfort and health has been taken into account.
The suspension solution is made from materials that are approved for use in swimming pool areas.
