Case study
La Requena Pool, Spain
Background
The facilities of the Centro Acuático Comarcal de Requena required an overhaul of its indoor pool facilities. The previous air distribution system made of stainless steel, presented a state of oxidation and dirt that required its revision and replacement by new antibacterial textile ducts.
Feddet Strand Resort selected a FabricAir dispersion system for their pool area. They wanted to create a comfortable environment for their guests as well as ensure the overall health of their building in the highly corrosive environment.

Solution
The facility’s maintenance managers presented the improvement works to FabricAir. A proposal was prepared for the revision of dehumidifiers flow models. During the works, everyone was surprised by the poor condition and dirt accumulated inside the sheet metal ductwork. In addition, an optimal hygiene of the installations with anti-bacterial textiles was proposed, having in mind the result of the sheet metal duct. The design was adapted to the air distribution entrances of the previous installation to minimize the required investment.
Results
The new fabric-based air distribution solution is now clean and very easy to maintain, as the fabric ducts can be easily removed and washed. Aesthetically it integrates very well into the interior design, which was somewhat complex with the sheet metal ductwork.
“We contacted FabricAir and they proposed an adapted design and air diffusion improvements, to avoid some areas where condensation was occurring before”, said the representative, responsible for maintenance of the Requena Regional Aquatic Center.
