Liningas, Lithuania

Background

Having perfect indoor air quality and a state-of-the-art air distribution system is of the utmost importance. This is a statement that came to life for a cloth and fabric manufacturer Liningas that wove around 13 million meters of cloth every year at their facilities. Back in 2018, the company installed their first fabric-based solution in the premises of the factory and everyone, including the employees, was extremely happy with the comfort it created.

Total Air Flow

120.000 m³/h

FabFlow™ and PerfoFlow™

3 years later, Liningas decided to retrofit the other part of the factory with a new air distribution system and came back to FabricAir for more solutions.

Solution

The manufacturing facility of Liningas has a quite high relative humidity, therefore the previous metal ducts were quite cold and created condensation on its surfaces. The condensation formed droplets, which fell on the looms, machinery and fabrics, making stains. To eliminate these issues, the company ordered and installed Combi 20 circular and rectangle-shaped fabric ducts which allows obtaining an optimal air velocity, suitable for a comfortable and draft-less environment.

As the facility has sensitive textile spinning equipment, air distribution had to be able to deliver fresh air without creating drafts and affecting the spinning process. The ceiling-mounted system also prevented the risks of condensation formation.

Results

The new fabric-based air distribution solution was very easy to install even during the operation of the manufacturing facility. The company did not have to stop its work and the whole process was easy and simple. Now, the company does not have the issues with condensation, the risks of product staining has been removed and the overall comfort for employees was increased.

“I would recommend FabricAir solutions for other factories as well, because it is easy to install, it’s nice looking, it’s modern and, most importantly, it is doing its job”, says Raimundas Abromavičius, CEO at Liningas.
