A New Life for the Swimming Pool in Poland
When swimmers in Ruda Śląska dived into their local municipal pool, they often faced more than just water challenges. The air itself was an issue. Heavy metal ducts, poor airflow, draughts, and misted-up windows had long been part of the daily experience, making both training and relaxation less than comfortable.
The building, with its 25-metre pool and tucked-away jacuzzi area, had been crying out for modernisation. The old ventilation system was simply too heavy for the sloped roof, and it couldn’t deliver air evenly across the space. The jacuzzi corner, hidden in a niche, was particularly tricky: fresh air never quite reached where it was needed.

The goals were clear:
Keep the climate stable year-round. Make summer swims cool and winter sessions warm. Stop draughts, end window condensation, and most importantly bring fresh air exactly where visitors wanted it.
The lightweight solution
The project team turned to a different approach: they chosen fabric air dispersion system from FabricAir. Instead of metal ducts weighing down the roof, they chose a lighter and smarter alternative.
The new system combines durability with flexibility:
- Combi 30 fabric stands up to the demanding pool environment
- Type 8 suspension with aluminium rails holds the ducts securely 7 metres above the water, perfectly following the sloped ceiling
- All-in-One shape retention keeps the installation neat and elegant, no matter the airflow
- NozzFlow technology delivers air precisely, even into the tricky jacuzzi niche
Behind the scenes, the numbers tell the story: a capacity of 30,000 m³/h at 200 Pa ensures a steady, comfortable climate for everyone inside.
Results you can feel immediately
The impact was instant. The pool hall now has fresh, even airflow with no draughts, no fogged-up glass, and a jacuzzi corner that feels like a true relaxation zone.
Visitors notice it straight away. “The difference is noticeable from the very first visit. The air feels fresh, there are no draughts, and the entire installation looks lightweight and elegant,” says the investor with satisfaction.
For the athletes training here and families enjoying a swim, the upgrade means they can finally focus on what matters: the water, not the air.
