Eliminating health risks in a brand-new indoor sports center in Madrid

Madrid City Council proposed the construction of a new Sports Center "La Cebada". The sports center, located in the transforming neighborhood of Lavapiés, will have a gym, a sports court, and an outdoor space on the top floor. Eliminating temperature fluctuations in Austrian toolmaker's production halls

WIHO Hofbauer GmbH, an Austrian tool and mold maker, operates high-end lathe and grinding machines, which require a constant temperature in production halls. The company was looking for a reliable air distribution system that would protect the machines from temperature fluctuations and also increase the working comfort of the employees. They wished to improve their facility, so they contacted FabricAir to design a brand-new fabric-based air distribution system.

Ensuring perfect ice temperature for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics

National Aquatics Center is now the world’s first double Olympic venue, able to host water and ice events in the same place. The top of the “Ice Cube”, which now hosts the Curling events of the Winter Olympics, is a membrane structure, therefore it was a huge challenge to create a perfect, stable indoor temperature that would be absolutely the same in every corner of the venue. The air distribution system had to guarantee a stable ice surface temperature of -8.5℃, so that all the athletes would have equal conditions in competition, no matter which lane would they be using.
